OFFF MX 2013
MID participated in the festival of creation and post-digital culture OFFF Mexico. This is the second edition of the festival realized in Mexico, after more than a decade celebrating the creation and post-digital culture in Barcelona.
The program included 14 conferences and 8 workshops dedicated to design, technology and art, and also the space “Mercado OFFF” that unites mexican designers, and the audiovisual installation Opening Titles realized by COCOLAB.
MID participated in the festival with the workshop “Bhoreal Minikit: create your own interface”, led by Alex Posada. BHOREAL Minikit is the DIY version of the BHOREAL controller with 16 pads. It provides less buttons than the rest of the models of the BHOREAL family but includes all the functionalities of its older siblings in a reduced format.
The workshop program at OFFF Mexico 2013 combine artisanal activities as well as digital: 3D-printing, fabrication of hardware, music creation, image manipulation, typography design, cutout and stop motion. The festival takes place in Mexico DF, and during three days the activities spread across the Blackberry Auditorium and the COCOLAB studio, bringing together more than 15 renown international artists and collectives.
